Media Centre

Welcome to IUCN’s media centre for journalists during the World Conservation Congress in Barcelona. 

Media registration will take place in the Registration Area at the Barcelona International Congress Centre. It will be open from 12 noon to 20:00 on Saturday, October 4, and from 08:30 to 20:00 on Sunday, October 5.

The media centre will be open from 14:00 to 22:00 on Sunday, October 5. It will open from 08:00 to 22:00 from Monday, October 6, to Saturday, October 11. It will reopen on Monday, October 13, at 08:00 and close at 17:00 on Tuesday, October 14.

We have a media handling team who will help journalists find their way around events, set up interviews with IUCN staff and other top VIPS, and be on hand to answer any general queries you may have.

A list of key events, press conferences and VIP delegates who journalists may be interested in interviewing are updated regularly online by clicking the links to the right.

Internet connections are available as fixed points in the media centre, as well as access to a wireless connection. IT support will be provided by the Congress venue.
