New Candidate for the Presidency of IUCN

In accordance with Article 27 of the IUCN Statutes and paragraph 32 of the IUCN Regulations, an additional nomination has come forward for the Presidency of IUCN.

The nomination has met the requirements of the Statutes and Regulations for a valid candidacy. The new candidate is María Purificació Canals Ventín from Spain who joins Ashok Khosla and Carlos Manuel Rodriguez as our three candidates for the Presidency of IUCN. A photograph and biographical details of the new candidate are being posted on the Election Page of the Congress web site.
